Interpersonal Communication (COMM 155): Books

This guide is designed to assist students in finding credible information sources for their research poster presentations in Dr. Wente-Hahn's COMM 155 course.

Scholarly Books

Books are an excellent choice for students who want to gain a more in-depth and better understanding of a particular topic. Books are typically a good starting point for research projects, as they provide a depth and breadth of coverage that isn't available in journal articles.

This page provides a small sample of print and eBooks that are available through the SWIC Library. This sampling is meant to help you explore a variety of areas within the field interpersonal communication.

If you need assistance finding or requesting materials, ask a librarian!

Dr. Wente-Hahn's Books on Reserve

Dr. Wente-Hahn placed several of her personal books on Reserve in the library. Reserve items are limited to a two-hour check out and are for in-library use only. Stop by the library front desk to check out these recommended titles.

Print Books

Print books are available at all three campus libraries. If a book is not available at your campus location, simply request to have the item delivered directly to your campus library.

eBooks

Electronic books (also referred to as eBooks) are immediately accessible 24/7 from anywhere there is an internet connection. Search the SWIC Library catalog and click the link to access or download the book from your favorite device.

If you are prompted to supply your user name and password, use the same SWIC credentials you use to access BlackBoard, eStorm, or your SWIC email.

Request Books

You're not limited to the books located at the SWIC Libraries. If you've discovered a book you'd like to use for your presentation, you can request it from another library. Don't delay in submitting your request, depending on where the book is coming from will determine how long it takes to arrive at the SWIC library.
