International Games Month: Tournament Time!

International Games Month (IGM) is celebrated each November to raise awareness of games and gaming in libraries. During this month libraries from around the world participate in local and international gaming activities.

Tournament Time!

Bring your A-game! Compete in one or both tournaments for a shot at ultimate bragging rights and a $20 gift card @ Edison's!

 

Rubik's Cube Competition

  • Play anytime the Library is open
  • Ask for a Rubik's Cube from the front desk
  • Have someone from the front desk time you
  • We'll record your attempt
  • If there is a tie, there will be a playoff to determine the winner (date/time TBD)

La Rana / Sapo Tournament

  • Play in The Commons - Thursdays from 10:30 - Noon (watch for our pop-up play too!)
  • You can play as many times as you'd like
  • Library employees will record scores
  • Highest scores will play against one another (date and time to be determined)
  • The highest score of the playoff rounds will win!

La Rana / Sapo Game

Sapo or The Frog / Toad game is a traditional Colombian game that has been played for almost a century. It is a ring toss game that uses metal rings as playing pieces. Designed for 2 to unlimited players. Average play time is determined by rounds and amount of players. Average time of one round with 2 players is +/- 5 minutes.
